For the most part I agree with you, but I do think that in trotting out so many toadies they are trying to make a credible defense. Indeed, they are aiming at swing voters, much as a defense attorney pleads to a jury to plant reasonable doubt. I don’t think what they are saying is credible, but we do know that some who voted for Obama in 2008 or 2012 voted for Trump, unreal as that may have been. In the next few days, Donnie will trot out more folks, his enabling minions. My hope is that one of those anonymous sources will bravely step out of the shadows into the glorious, cleansing sunshine of truth.
